Happy St. Patrick's Day from ours to yours!
I know it has been quite a while since I have updated, but with a husband, 2 kids, 2 dogs and a rabbit life runs fast!
Haylie-Bug is almost FOUR! I can't believe how much she has grown, I have grown and our family has grown. She is an amazing little girl with so much spark to her. She is VERY independent and wants to do everything for herself and everyone else. She currently has a set of chores she has to do everyday and if they are done without me constantly staying on her for them she gets a special treat. She makes her bed, folds and puts up her laundry, gathers her laundry that doesn't always make the basket to bring it to me for washing, helps unload the dishwasher, sets the table, empties the bathroom trash, etc. She tells me daily she can't wait until she is big enough and old enough to sweep the floors like mommy. Kiddo, I bet when you're old enough you're going to wish you had a time machine to go right back to being little. :)
Chase is 13 1/2 months and EVERYWHERE!! He followed his sister's addiction to the dishwasher. I cannot open the dishwasher to unload/load without him "helping." His Mama and Dada is now turning into Mommy and Daddy. He has a pretty good vocabulary including Batman...thanks to my nephew! We are W-A-L-K-I-N-G!!! He isn't at the pace he can go too terribly far, but he is too cute walking. I give it about a week or so before he is "running" around in the stores like Haylie used to. His sister is by far the most entertaining toy ever. Currently, she is hiding in the bottom door on the entertainment center and he opens it to find her and runs off laughing. The dogs have been very well fed thanks to him, too. I guess he saw us feeding them a bite of food from the table a few too many time so they're given food from his highchair daily. I think Easter will be super neat for them this year since he is mobile and not so tiny like he was last year.
Eric is doing very well. As most of you know after 5 years he left 407 and went to rig 323. He really likes his co-workers over there and I spend a lot of late nights on his week off listening to them on the PS3. Little boys I tell ya! Well, the old pusher off 323 is now a superintendent for Patterson and offered him a job on 407 (it was stacked, but they're bringing it back out) as not only a driller, but lead driller. He was also told he would be offered the first available spot as a pusher if he wanted it. After lots of long talks, long thoughts and such he decided to accept the offer with the exception if the rig is ever stacked again he has a guaranteed job elsewhere. It was agreed and he goes to his new rig on Sunday. He is going to work 2 weeks straight so he can get on the right week. One of the good parts about this is Eric is now off Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc. I think the only real holidays he works are NYE, Easter and 4th of July. He also chose to go back to working 6am-6pm which I finally got used to the nights, but I'll readjust soon enough. This is really awesome for our family. We now have even more disposable income and money for savings. His pay rate was going up by 7ish an hour plus Patterson just announced new raises within 2 weeks. Their raises are usually anywhere from 2-5 more an hour. I'm so proud of him that I can't tell him enough or find enough ways to tell him. I am SO lucky to have him as my soul mate!
Kenai and Kimber had a nice visit to the vet yesterday. Kimber had come inside Tuesday night and smeared blood on me, but I kinda just thought they got the roughhousing a bit too much and no big deal. Kenai had been kinda sick, but I still didn't think much of it. I guess with those 2 I need to start thinking a lot more...lol. I took Haylie and Chase outside to play in their playhouse/swingset and jump on the trampoline when I noticed the dogs acting funny and staring at something. It was a lovely..........rat. Apparently, Kimber had killed it and I'm sure Kenai helped and that would be where someone got blood from. The rat put up a fight, I guess. I immediately freaked out yelled for Haylie to run inside while I got Chase. I came inside to call the vet to see if I could bring them in and My Mom so I could drop the kids off. Luckily, it was nothing once we got to the vet and Kenai just got his rabies shot since it was due anyway. Oh, and I got him some new medicine for his ears since the "wash" stuff wasn't cutting it. I swear they're more expensive than the kids sometimes. I wanted them both groomed terribly, but Kenai couldn't be for 48 hours since he just had a shot. So, I left Kimber. Heh....I have bathed him myself before and it wasn't such a big deal, but I think seeing the metal holding kennels and people who might resemble the pound to him took a big toll. They called me and said he was getting sick EVERYWHERE and they had to rebathe him and keep him out of the kennels. Yep, my dog pooped all over the grooming place...heh. They felt so bad for him and it was just sheer stress from being scared. I wish I pooped when I was stressed...I'd be super skinny!! The people in there know us, because of Kenai and when I scheduled his appt for Saturday the guy who really knows us well called dibs on Kenai..lol. I don't think I'd beg to wash a huge dog with a ton of fur especially for his grooming where he is shedding his winter coat, but hey, I can't complain that someone loves the big galoot. Kimber has gained 20lbs since his last vet visit which was a couple of days after I got him and Kenai is still an oaf at 105 1/2 pounds. Kimber was 86.
I'm doing wonderfully especially with my amazing kiddos and their daddy doing so well! I finally made the step....okay gave up some shopping moola to close the baby factory and now these people are holding me up!! What gives?? I priced the tubal ligation with both doc costs and hospital costs, Essure procedure and then Mirena. I am currently doing the Mirena, because I would rather spend $1k vs $5500-5600 and then end up needing a hysterectomy thanks to abnormal paps. My Doc is certain they will go back to normal after all the procedures I have had done and such, but just in case I am a cash patient and money doesn't grow on trees. My Doc called in the Mirena to Bayer or whatever and I called back in to give them my debit card number and they were not ready yet....umm okay...over a week later and they still haven't called...seriously?? I am begging to give you money and you won't take it? I wish they would hurry, because with my luck I'll magically become fertile again and still be out the money of the Mirena...I'm just that lucky of a person.
Eric and I have STILL been having the building of a house debate. I am not ready for the stress and such of starting it like right now and want to wait a while and he is......not listening to me. I told him we could find one if we searched long and hard that had most if not all of our wants and just do some remodeling and replacing of appliances instead of starting with dirt. He went by without me to look at the land and is really wanted to buy it. Then, he gets my dad involved who then jumps me out and tells me he will do the rough in at cost and all labor for free so not to worry. My Brother made the same offer and I didn't jump for joy and accept....woohoo I have plumbing...I need electrical, bricks, walls, floors, appliances, fixtures, etc. I don't want to cut any corners and I also do not want to take out ANY loans. Debt is like a major no-no to Eric and I. Oh well, I am already getting stressed typing about it...lol. I agreed we would price flooring, electrical, plumbing, etc and see what we're in for just to make the king happy.
